Constitution of the United States of America

We, the People of the United States of America — united in our diversity, guided by truth,

compassion, and justice, mindful of the sacrifices and struggles that have shaped this land —

do establish this Constitution to renew our nation’s covenant with liberty, equality, and human

dignity.

We remember the lessons of history — the triumphs and failures, the courage and suffering

— and resolve that government shall always serve the People, not power; humanity, not

profit; truth, not deception.

In pursuit of peace among nations, harmony among communities, and stewardship of the

Earth, we declare our duty to one another and to future generations.

With conscience as our compass and democracy as our bond, we hereby ordain this

Constitution as the supreme law of a just, transparent, and compassionate Republic — of, by,

and for the People — now and for all time to come.
